AP Catches Up With the Brum

I asked in the post "Jesus Snubbed" if I was the only one to notice the Academy's failure to notice the year's most lucrative film. Obviously I wasn't.

To be fair, the second grossing film was "Fahrenheit 911" was also ignored but it doesn't count because that is Michael Moore's fault. For those who don't know it, Michael Moore didn't enter "911" in the documentary catagory, hoping he would get a "Best Picture" nod.

I personally think there were several great movies ignored. I mean come on did you see Troy??? Not a single nomination. That movie was so Oscar worthy. And yeah what is up with that. The Passion of the Christ should have been nominated all over the board. I just have to say it is sad that they dont nominate movies like this...

There always are. The Oscars is a big popularity contest in which the so called social elite in Hollywood decide for us what films are best. That why I don't usually watch them. It's like turning on the T.V. and watching who gets voted best couple at the local high school. No thanks. I watched this year because my wife wanted to. Won't make that mistake again.
